Q2. Do I need a driving license to book a caravan?

No, you don’t need to drive. All our caravans come with an experienced chauffeur, so you can sit back and enjoy your journey.

Q3. How early should I book a caravan?

We recommend booking your caravan as early as possible since there are very limited luxury caravan options in India. Once your travel dates are confirmed, it’s best to block your caravan immediately to avoid last-minute unavailability, especially during weekends, festivals, and peak holiday seasons.

Q4. Can I rent a caravan for just one day?

Yes! We offer flexible rental plans, including single-day rentals, weekend getaways, and long road trips based on your travel needs.

Q5. What documents are required for booking a caravan?

You’ll need to provide a valid government ID proof (Aadhar, PAN, or Passport) and contact details for verification.

Q6. What amenities are included in Travelhomes caravans?

At Travelhomes, we offer a variety of caravans, each with distinct interiors, layouts, and amenities to suit different travel needs. Depending on the model, your caravan may include luxury recliner seats, comfortable beds, private washroom, modular kitchen, fridge, Wi-Fi, smart TV, Bluetooth music system, ample storage, and efficient air-conditioning. We recommend checking the caravan details while booking to select the one that perfectly matches your comfort and travel style.

Q7. Do your caravans have a washroom?

Yes. Mostly all Travelhomes caravans come with a fully functional private toilet and a washroom to make your road trip comfortable.

Q8. Can I cook inside the caravan?

Some of our caravans are equipped with a fully functional kitchen, while others have dry pantry-only setups. Please check the amenities before booking. For safety reasons, cooking is not allowed while the caravan is in motion.

Q9. Do your caravans have Wi-Fi and entertainment options?

Yes! Mostly of our Caravans have high-speed Wi-Fi, smart TVs, and a Bluetooth music system so you stay entertained throughout your journey.

Q10. How many people can travel in one caravan?

We offer multiple options, including 4-seater to 10-12-seater caravans, depending on your group size and travel preferences.

Q11. What is the cost of renting a caravan?

Our caravan rental rates vary based on the type of caravan, travel duration, and location. Contact us or check our caravan page for the latest offers.

Q12. How do I make the payment for my booking?

You can pay through UPI, net banking, or wallet payments. A partial advance is required to confirm your booking.

Q13. Is there a security deposit for caravan rentals?

Yes, a minimum refundable security deposit is applicable depending on the caravan type and trip duration. It’s returned after the trip ends.

Q15. Are fuel charges included in the rental cost?

We offer two pricing options for your convenience:

  1. Dry Rental: Includes the caravan with all amenities, a driver, and in some caravans, a helper. Fuel and toll charges are not included.
  2. Per Km Rate: Includes the caravan with all amenities, a driver, and in some caravans, a helper, along with fuel and toll charges.

The applicable pricing for each caravan is clearly mentioned on its respective caravan page, allowing you to choose the option that best suits your trip and budget.

Q16. Can I take the caravan to any state in India?

Yes! Our caravans are registered for interstate travel, but you’ll need to inform us in advance for permits, if required.

Q17. Is it safe to travel overnight in a caravan?

Absolutely, Many of our caravans are fully equipped for overnight travel and stays, and comfortable sleeping arrangements, ensuring a safe and worry-free journey for you and your family.

Q18. Can pets travel in the caravan?

Yes! Most of Our Caravans are pet-friendly, but you must inform us while booking so we can arrange a suitable caravan for your furry friend.

Q19. What happens if the caravan breaks down during the trip?

Don’t worry! We provide roadside assistance and ensure quick repairs or replacement so your trip continues smoothly.

Q20. Can I customize my caravan rental itinerary?

Yes! You can take Caravans anywhere in India based on your preferences, including stops, sightseeing, and overnight stays. But for that, you have to submit your itinerary in advance.

Yes, extensions are possible depending on availability. Contact our team in advance to adjust dates and pricing.

Q22. Are one-way trips allowed?

No, we provide caravans for two-way trips only. If you request a one-way trip, it can be arranged, but the charges will still be calculated based on a two-way rental.

Q23. How many kilometers can I travel in a day?

While there’s no strict limit, we recommend 250–300 km per day for a comfortable journey. Additional km rates may apply based on your package.

Q24. Are caravans suitable for children and elderly passengers?

Yes! Our caravans are designed with spacious interiors, comfortable seating, and safety features suitable for all age groups.

Currently, all Travelhomes caravans come with a professional driver, so you can relax and enjoy your journey. Self-driving is not available for safety and insurance reasons.

You can travel anywhere you want, but we recommend informing us of your planned route in advance. Some remote areas may require special permission or route planning.

Drivers sleep in a separate cabin or seat in the caravan, depending on the model. On overnight trips, they rest in the driver’s cabin or designated sleeping area, ensuring your privacy.

You can park at authorized camping sites, resorts, or designated safe spots. Parking in unauthorized areas is not recommended for safety reasons.

Q35. Can we stop anywhere during the trip?

Yes! One of the benefits of caravanning is freedom to stop anywhere, enjoy scenic spots, or take breaks. Safety and local regulations should always be followed.

Q36. Can I reschedule my trip?

Rescheduling is allowed only in cases of natural calamities or government-imposed travel restrictions, and is subject to caravan availability.

Q37. Are Travelhomes caravans suitable for luxury travel?

No. These caravans are designed for adventure and offbeat travel, providing essential amenities rather than luxury services.

Q38. Are there any route restrictions for the caravan?

Yes. The caravan cannot enter restricted zones, government-prohibited areas, wildlife regions, or dangerous terrain. Clients will be liable for fines, penalties, or legal issues if these rules are violated.

Q39. Can the caravan be overloaded with passengers or luggage?

No. Overloading beyond the vehicle’s capacity is strictly prohibited.

Q40. What happens if the caravan breaks down or has a mechanical issue?

  • The vendor provides roadside support and arranges transfer to the nearest accessible location if the vehicle cannot continue.
  • Rental is charged only for the portion of the trip completed (days or kilometres).
  • No refund or compensation is provided for missed destinations, hotels, or pre-booked tickets.
  • Clients are responsible for onward travel or accommodation but may request assistance from the vendor at their own cost.
